Lamaze-Exercise Twin
Pregnancy & Physical Changes – Unexpected surprise:
During the nine months of pregnancy, a woman’s body undergoes many transformations with some of the physical changes: Expanding belly, Weight gain, Enlarged uterus, Morning sickness and backaches. The center of mass changes with more pressure on the organs (increased weight to be carried). As a result, many women unexpectedly are surprised in a relatively short span of time during pregnancy to experience back pain, pelvic pain and urinary incontinence (leaking).
Our Lamaze-Exercise Twin Program
Tender Touch twin program not only prepares mothers with coping mechanisms during delivery (Lamaze) but also makes them fit before, during and after delivery (exercises).
Lamaze is a childbirth preparation method aimed at building confidence and teaching coping mechanisms for labor to do away with fear–tension-pain phenomena during labor. Our classes focus on pregnancy and the growth and development of the baby by our Lamaze educators for women and their partners during the last trimester of pregnancy which prepares them for labor and birth.
Lamaze Philosophy:
- Birth is normal,
- The experience of birth profoundly affects women and their families,
- Women’s inner wisdom guides them through birth,
- Women’s confidence and ability to give birth is either enhanced or diminished by the care provider and place of birth,
- Women have a right to give birth free from routine medical interventions,
- Birth can safely take place in birth centers and homes,
- Childbirth education empowers women to make informed choices in health care, to assume responsibility for their health and to trust their inner wisdom.
