Description

Hallux valgus, commonly known as a bunion, is a foot deformity where the big toe angles inward toward the other toes, causing a bony bump to form at the base of the toe on the inner edge of the foot. This deviation causes the first metatarsal bone to shift inward, and the big toe joint to protrude. It can cause pain, swelling, and difficulty walking.
